It’s one thing to not eat the crust from your average pizza delivery monopoly supplier, but it’s incomprehensible to not eat the crust at Urban Crust.
Salvatore Gisellu aka “chef” cranks out wood-fired pizza in a Renato oven in Downtown Plano that is to die for. Each pizza is cooked to perfection in minutes, but that doesn’t keep the line from forming out the door on the weekend.
The interior boasts just as much character as “chef” himself, with the saddle seats and a chandelier made of horse whips inspired from the building’s original tenants many years ago.
Quattro Formaggi may not be unique to Urban Crust, but when it’s made by “chef”, you’re in for a real treat. Mozzarella, Fontina, Bleu Cheese, Grana Padano, and Truffle Oil – what else does one need to say other than you need to try this.
Keeping the tradition of eating pizza once a month (for those with willpower,) Urban Crust rotates a pizza of the month, which is seasonally inspired.
With 7 signature pizzas, or a build your own option on the menu, you’re options are endless – just don’t forget truffle oil.
